This was my second stay during my trip to Japan. The first was 4 nights, you can read my review. This review will be similar but with some edits. I stayed her 10 nights. The location was AWESOME! There are several GOOD/GREAT restaurants, Family Mart, Daily, drug store (tax free available) the train, subway and mall within a 5 minute walk. Donki was about a 15/17 minute walk. Excellent unagi restaurant (saw only locals eating there) about a 10 minute walk. A post office is less than a 10 minute walk. The limo bus stop for Haneda airport was about a 7 minute walk. I would definitely stay here again! Staff was always friendly and very helpful. Communication in English wasn't an issue, just remember to speak slowly and you won't have a problem :) I usually don't like housekeeping to come in daily to clean my room - just a mistrust from living in the U.S. If housekeeping saw me, they would ask if I needed towels. If I didn't see them, they would leave a package of towels, pajamas and a toothbrush/toothpaste kit by my door. Excellent housekeeping service!! I know tipping isn't a thing in Japan, but with this level of service they really deserved it. I was booked with the tatamii room and LOVED it. Noticed there were areas that weren't clean: The vent above the tub had some dust lumps inside. Around the tub, in the crevices were a bit dirty. Nothing like mildew but just needed a bit of scrubbing with a toothbrush. The A/C vents could use some wiping/dusting. Wished the washing machine/dryer would have a cellphone notice to the user when the clothes are done. People left their laundry in the machine and I had to keep checking back to see if they picked it up. Would these deter me from staying here again, no, but just want to bring this to their attention.

I went for the least cost and it was small. I could only stand one night and asked if there was a larger rooms available. I upgraded to a tatami room and LOVED it! I paid the difference for the larger room.

We (family of three adults) booked indivdiual rooms in the Grace Hotel because we arrrived in Haneda airport in the evening, and wanted to spend the evening having our own personal space to adjust and get some sleep after the long flight. Another key factor is that we were planning to take the Shinkansen to Kyoto the following afternoon, which is why we even looked at Shin-Yokohama. For these purposes, Grace Hotel was absolutely amazing. The rooms were comfortable, the AC/heat units were modern and effective, the hotel was right next to the Shinkansen station, and there was an abundance of amenities within a block of the hotel (the train station's "food corridor" entrance was literally right across from the Hotel's side entrance, the Hotel was adjacent to a Daily Yamazaki Konbini (there was a 7Eleven in the mall/hotel across the street, but it was smaller and more of a walk). There was also an assortment of western Fast Food (Wendy's and McDonalds at least) within 100 yards of the hotel, which was good for one of our party who needed some familiar comfort food.

This was one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in many hotels all over Japan. The location next to Shin-Yokohama Station really can't be beat. A block away was a free bus to go to Ikea which I totally enjoyed. There was also a lot of really good places to eat within seconds of the hotel. The staff was great and I would consider the room I had to to be massive compared to the size of most hotels I stay at in Japan.

Elton

The room have a good ventilation to air out the bed. Also, it is nice that lobby/elevator can accomodate guest even there is an event on function rooms. The receptionist answered all my queries regarding early check out and other amenities. They also do house cleaning as per request and toiletries were replenished everyday. Trash is being collected everyday. They have warm seats, bidets and bathtub have handles.
